  It was a slow service to start with, I’m usually patient when there’s a line. There was no line and I was told to sit down with and wait with no explanation as to why I couldn’t be served at the time. I then waited for 15 minutes to then be served. I hadn’t used my account in over 12 months so it had been overdrawn -$58 I have been unemployed the whole time and have not been able to pay the fees, I asked for leniency and explained my circumstances and the teller told me she could refund two of the charges equaling $8 so then I was “-$50 in debt. I told her I couldn’t pay she said there was nothing else she could do. I then went home to ring the Commonwealth bank and was greeted by a young gentlemen who empathised with my situation and gave me a full refund. So I have some faith in commonwealth, just not the Newtown branch.

  The guy who served me had a no idea and PRETENDING he is doing something but nothing!! ended up took 30 minutes for me to just pick up the bank cheque...I ended up had to tell him you need my signature here, you need to get your manager to sign there... that's your copy and this is my copy....
  He wasn't even a trainee!!!
  At least he should have admitted that he is not sure about the work and need a collegue's support... but being arrogant and pretending he knows...just flipping the papers hundred times!!! wasting people's time.
  what a terrible customer service....
  Ahhhh what a waste of my time and with terrible feeling.
  How the bank can let such a hopeless person to manage such an important matters to us!!!

  No tellers at all when I went to bank a cheque so someone took me outside to the auto teller to help me do it there. 20 minutes later.... I get the message that they don't want us using teller services
