  We hired Dear Delicious recently on a Saturday night for a party. Martyne, Greg and team organised a great night. We received many positive compliments from our guests about the venue, the food, the service... Definitely recommend checking out DD if you have an event coming up. The deck area with the garden in particular is lovely for a party or gathering with friends/family.

  Arrived valentines day morning. Ordered drinks. Took half an hour to come. Ordered food. Sorry we are out of mushrooms. For a Cafe to run of mushrooms before 11am is like a pub without beer. Ordered poached eggs on toast. When they came they were hard boiled. Wife's dish came missing a couple of ingredients, when we went to pay we noted the barista shouting instructions to the cooks. Says it all really.

  Food was great but the drinks we ordered didn't arrive until we were ready to leave. Had to remind a couple of times. Would have been a better experience if the drinks arrived at our meals.

  Dear Delicious has been our favourite coffee shop for years.
  Greg and his team are always welcoming and the coffee and food is consistently excellent. They offer a traditional spread of pastries, sandwiches and big breakfasts, as well as some of their own creations like the “Mushroom Madness from the Garden” or the “Noirish Me Kitchardi Bowl” made with slow cooked sprouted mung beans, which will undoubtedly warm your soul.
  
  The back garden is perfectly signed “This must be the place” because is a hidden gem of the inner west and perfect for kids. It’s stocked with mini picnic tables, books and wooden blocks to keep little kids busy while you sip your coffee in this little oasis.
  
  I highly recommend you give this cherished local a try!

  Had a f**king slug in my noodle soup!!
  
  I initially thought it was an octopus tentacle while it was supposed to chicken soup. I looked closer and found this little purplish thing to be a slug. Apparently they don't wash their vegetables. Forgot to take a photo before the manager took it back to kitchen. Then the chef came out, apologized and refunded my money. But I am still very pissed.
  
  I used to be a regular customer of this restaurant but haven't visited for a while. I came in today to find that it under new management and its food price increased at lot. And more shockingly, a slug in the chicken noodle soup.
