  Markedly different place during the daytime compared to at night!
  
  Great spot during the day: sunny, calm, welcoming. They have a great selection of beers and ciders, as well as a decent wine list. The food menu looks like your standard pub grub, which is what you'd expect.
  
  At night it was very crowded, with loud music and obnoxious patrons - what a contrast!

  Best balcony and best vibe on King Street, super friendly staff, great burgers, crazy pizza deals and so much more. An overwhelming choice of beers.

  Great balcony for people spotting out front.
  Good selection of beers, outside area out back is good.

  The security are always over the top and they know exactly how to ruin a good night. I avoid this hotel because I have been refused entry after only two beers at another pub in Newtown (this was at 8pm on a weeknight); I have been denied re-entry (to a party that was being hosted upstairs - which I paid for) after going across the road for cigarettes at 9pm.
  
  In general, the bar is very average, the balcony is the only real highlight. Drinks are as expensive and not at all exciting (as with a majority of pubs in Sydney). I recommend the Bank.
